Recap of our RWTH Summer Schools

Broaden your horizon and boost your career

It was a pleasure for us to conduct our RWTH Summer Schools on campus this year. This summer we welcomed 58 students on site and another 61 online from a total of 21 countries. The following Summer Schools took place:

  • Robotics, Communication Networks and Innovation
  • Automation and Simulation
  • Production Technology meets Industry 4.0
  • German Engineering, Language and Culture

A broad supporting program – networking, culture and fun!

The students had the opportunity to combine a comprehensive academic supporting program with interactive lessons, company visits (Bosch Rexroth, Eaton Electric, Thyssenkrupp etc.) and institute tours (ITA, IKV, IGMR etc.).

The social program included city rallies in Aachen, hiking tours to the border tripoint, barbecues, trips to Maastricht and much more. The students were accompanied at these events by their mentors.

At the same time, this summer, two programs with the topic of "Smart Factories" took place online. In these Online Courses students from two Chinese universities took part. We are looking forward to continuing offering both on-campus and online programs in the future!

We would like to thank the academic teams of the respective programs and all partner institutes for the excellent cooperation in organization and implementation. We are looking forward to next year!
