Strengthening our excellent cooperation between Mexico and Germany

Our dear colleagues from Tec de Monterrey (ITESM) in Mexico are currently visiting us. We are hosting the program “Train the Trainer – Electric Mobility”: 23 doctors and professors from Monterrey, Mexico City, Toluca, and Puebla discuss aspects of BEV (Battery Electric Vehicles) like their design, performance and components. Our renown RWTH lecturers from the Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika), Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components (PEM) and Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Drives (ISEA) provide the exciting content.

During the training, we visit those institutes and research sites like the Center for Mobile Propulsion (CMP) and Ford Research Center to exchange thoughts . The participants gain inspiration from their stay to continue working on intensive research projects until October. Afterwards, Professor Markert (Director of IAM and and Rector’s Delegate for South America) and Dr. Dinger (Managing Director of RWTH International Academy) schedule a visit to Monterrey for the final examination.

We are very happy to realize this project and bring lecturers from our two excellent universities in Mexico and Germany together. In the future, both universities want to strengthen their collaboration.

Mexico Office at RWTH International Academy

Melanie Ostfeld as the Director of our newly established Mexico Office is going to work in Latin America with the mission to support not only research-oriented cooperation but also consult students who would like to come to RWTH Aachen University for qualification programs or a Master’s Degree.
