Continuing dental education at RWTH Aachen University

With our international master's degree M.Sc. in Periodontology we are offering a part-time master's program for continuing dental education. It is conducted together with the Clinic for Operative Dentistry, Periodontology and Preventive Dentistry at RWTH Aachen University Hospital.

After completing their dental studies, dentists increasingly require interdisciplinary expertise in order to be able to provide appropriate therapy options in a holistic and demand-oriented manner. The subject of periodontology alone makes up less than 5% of dental teaching at German universities and does not include in-depth practical training in surgical procedures (periodontal surgery), even though more and more adults are suffering from severe forms of periodontal disease.

With an innovative and digital teaching and learning concept, the expertise required for professional practice is taught theoretically and practically at the highest academic level in a way that ensures the compatibility of career and continuing education.
