International Academy press area
Welcome to the RWTH International Academy Newsroom! Here you will find current information about our various continuing education formats and services.
Due to the current situation, the RWTH International Academy has decided to realize the Summer Schools taking place in June and July 2021 in the form of online courses.
With our international master's program M.Sc. in Lasers in Dentistry and M.Sc. in Periodontology we are offering part-time master's programs for continuing dental education together with the Clinic for Dental Preservation, Periodontology and Preventive Dentistry at RWTH Aachen University Hospital.
"Mastering crises. Secure know-how. Educate further" - this is the motto of this year's digital training week in the Aachen region. Of course we are part of it! On March 5, we will present ourselves with a short pitch and on March 11, we will show how versatile our training offers are.
As of March 2, students from EU can apply for our English-language M.Sc. degree programs in engineering. Additive Manufacturing, Electric Mobility Production or Robotic Systems Engineering are just some of the current research and production topics we have integrated into our M.Sc. degree programs.
For international students, the Corona pandemic has had a very different impact. For many, the actual face-to-face study in another country has turned into a digital study on their own couch in their home town. We wanted to know from our master's students where they are currently and when they are planning to return to Germany, should they be abroad or in their home countries.
To ensure that our students and participants are perfectly cared for during their education and training, our new boarding house and apartment building will open on June 2021 in the heart of Aachen's city center. 64 beds in the boarding house and 41 apartments for long-term living will then be available - and some of them with a view of the Aachen Cathedral spires!
As International Academy we want to reach people interested in education worldwide and respond even more flexibly and individually by enhanced digital education, information and service offerings.
With the help of previous donors, 86 students severely affected by the pandemic situation have already been supported by bridging scholarships (€600 each).
Good news to all those who applied for Bildungscheck 2020 (education voucher) but could not claim it due to the restrictions in the course of the pandemic: This year's Bildungscheck is still valid in 2021!
In September, the managing directors of higher education institutions from all over Germany met in Aachen for a first kick-off exchange of experts.
