Contents of the Training

The Machine Learning Specialist training provides an introduction to the field of AI by exploring real-world examples and practical applications in various industries. Through interactive sessions, participants will discuss and develop AI use cases from concept to implementation. The training covers topics such as data pipelines, data analysis processes, data mining tools, and emphasizes data visualization and preparation. Aymen Gannouni
Research associate at the chair of Information Management

Mr. Gannouni is since January 2020 a research associate at the chair of Information Management in Mechanical Engineering. He leads the research group Production Enhancing Technologies within the department Data Intelligence. Mr. Gannouni works on different digitalization projects of Industry 4.0 (e.g. construction sites, tunnel boring, textile manufacturing, plastic processing, battery cell manufacturing). Beforehand, he studied computer science with minor in business administration in Bachelors and Masters at the RWTH Aachen University.

Dr. Christoph Rippe
Senior Technology Specialist at the INC Innovation Center

Dr. Christoph Rippe studied business mathematics with a focus on stochastics and optimization at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg and then did his PhD in operations management on inventory management problems for service technicians. At INC Innovation Center, Christoph is a Senior Technology Specialist responsible for data analysis and prototypical implementation of AI use cases. He also supervises trainings and works on research topics related to AI applicability (Small data augmentation/Transfer learning).

Hans Zhou
Scientific Researcher at the IMA RWTH Aachen University

Since February 2020 does Hans Zhou work as a scientific associate at the Cybernetics Lab. There, his work revolves around research projects focusing on the application of machine learning for production and mechatronic systems. Previously, he studied mechanical and process engineering at the TU Darmstadt.

Michael Zeng
Scientific Researcher at the IMA RWTH Aachen University

Michael Zeng has been a research associate at the Cybernetics Lab at RWTH Aachen University since September 2019. As part of the research group Production-enhancing Technologies, he works on the topics Data Lakes, production data management and cloud-edge data infrastructure. Michael Zeng studied physics and computational engineering at the universities of Marburg and Darmstadt.

The Innovation Center on the RWTH Aachen Campus offers further education in the field of technology and innovation management to find optimized solutions for their challenges. A "world of experience" is being created in collaboration with partners from the TIME Research Area, Fraunhofer IPT, WZL of RWTH Aachen, and KEX Knowledge Exchange AG, allowing industry's future planners and decision-makers to experience the process from the initial development idea to the manufacture of products ready for series production. The fundamental concept is precisely tailored to the projects, potentials, and interests of companies.

Participation Requirements & Target Group

The Machine Learning Specialist is aimed at specialists and executives, data scientists, project managers data analytics, data analysts, innovation managers and software engineers. Following areas are of particular interest:
