Benefit from excellent teaching of RWTH Aachen University
Our Summer Schools are uniquely designed for international students who want to gain insights into German engineering at RWTH Aachen – a top-ranked university and one of Europe’s leading science and research institutions. You benefit from high-value academic content, excellent lecturers and a strong network of industry partners.

Program Outline | Summer School 2022
As a student, you receive an overview of current challenges and new technologies with regards to the future electric grid. You explore the role of measurements and learn about uncertainty. Synchronized measurements including sensors and instruments are an important subject.
In laboratory exercises, you use the modern research tool called real time simulation. Another focus lies on microgrids and distributed intelligence for power systems. Overall, you will understand the basics on power economics.

Your Lecturers | Summer School 2022
RWTH Aachen University‘s E.ON Energy Research Center is responsible for the academic content. Two divisions of E.ON ERC conduct the lectures: Automation of Complex Power Systems, and also Power Generation and Storage Systems. Plus, the Institute for High Voltage Equipment and Grids, Digitalization and Power Economics supports the teaching.
The contents of the program may change. RWTH International Academy reserves the right to make changes to the organization, the staffing or the running of a program that have no major effect on the overall character of the program.

The Summer School at RWTH was a unique opportunity. It was a two-week program which provided me with academic knowledge, social experiences, inter cultural exchanges and an overview on current development technologies in Germany. This experience provided me with my first contact with a university outside my home country and it was crucial to the development of my education.
