In this Summer School, you get to program a robot education cell in a team and make your robot compete! Master the main areas of robotics: robotic systems, kinematics and dynamics.

Study the history of information theory, understand challenges and focus on practical examples of solving problems in modern communication technology. Plus, you learn about mechatronics and how to change or add an element in order to ease innovation processes.

The Summer School covers the fundamentals of robotics, information theory and communication systems. It features the use of a robot education cell as well as practical examples of solving problems in modern communication technology.

You learn about kinematic and dynamic behavior of robotic systems and also define and manage technical requirements.

Your Lecturers | Summer School 2022

The Institute of Mechanism Theory, Machine Dynamics and Robotics (IGMR), the research group ISEK and the RoboScope as part of the Institute for Information Management in Mechanical Engineering (IMA) conduct the academic content.

Research areas include mechanism theory and kinematics, machine dynamics and vibration technology, robotics and mechatronics, and information theory and communication systems.

The contents of the program may change. RWTH International Academy reserves the right to make changes to the organization, the staffing or the running of a program that have no major effect on the overall character of the program.

Every year we welcome students from all over the world. You can become part of our international student community if you:

  • are at least 18 years old
  • pursue your higher education
  • completed your 1st/2nd year of studies
  • study a degree related to our program
  • are proficient in the English language

Desirable is basic knowledge in technical mechanics, automation technology, robotics, mechatronics or computer science.

Studying in RWTH was definitely one of the most incredible experiences I had in my life. The two fascinating professors were very supportive in the lectures. The program staffs and student mentors were enthusiastic and hospitable in organizing different social networking events. Most importantly, students from all over the world, who had different culture backgrounds and spoke different languages, came to Aachen, studying together, growing together and experiencing the world in a different way.
