Enrollment Period
The winter semester is just around the corner and it is time to prepare your registration at RWTH Aachen University. In August, all admitted students who have also accepted their study place in RWTHonline, will be informed about the start of the enrollment period. This online process is the final step to become an official registered student at RWTH Aachen University and must be completed by October 31 at the latest. To make sure you get this last important step right, we are organizing our first onboarding webinar in July to guide you through this rather complicated process.

Health Insurance – Q&A Session
We care about your wellbeing and do have an exclusive partnership with the biggest health insurance provider in Germany, the Techniker Krankenkasse (TK). Health insurance is important and mandatory in Germany, also for international students! In our Q&A sessions you will get the chance to talk to a TK representative about the German health insurance system. Learn about:
- How much does the insurance cost?
- What services are included?
- How and when can I register as member?
- How can I report my insurance status to RWTH Aachen University?
Do not miss this Q&A Session because health insurance is a mandatory requirement to be officially enrolled as a student!

Health insurance is compulsory by German law while studying in Germany. All students must provide proof of sufficient health insurance coverage when enrolling at RWTH Aachen University and maintain this cover throughout their studies. Register with a public or private health insurance provider before arriving in Germany and get a student insurance cover. Give the dispatch number of RWTH Aachen University to your health insurance company: H0000784. Your health insurance status will then be reported to RWTH Aachen University automatically.
