Successfully managing and working on improvement projects
In this practice-oriented Six Sigma Green Belt training, you will learn how to successfully run and manage comprehensive improvement projects using the Six Sigma methodology. As a Six Sigma Green Belt, you will familiarize yourself with the standardized project management of Six Sigma and independently conduct improvement projects. You will also gain in-depth knowledge of advanced methods and tools for analyzing and solving problems in business processes.

You will learn:
- How to conduct and manage Six Sigma improvement projects independently
- How to deal with methods and tools of systematic improvement management
- How to analyze and improve business processes in a standardized way

Contents of the Training
The training is based on the various Six Sigma phases of the DMAIC cycle (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) and systematically presents the associated methods and tools. A continuous practical example accompanies the Six Sigma Green Belt training.

Your improvement project
Between the two training blocks, you will carry out an improvement project in your company using the Six Sigma methodology.
The corresponding project idea will be presented in the first training block. In the second block, you will present your results.

Our Lecturers of the Six Sigma Green Belts
Two qualified Six Sigma experts from the Chair of Production Metrology and Quality Management at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen University.
Scientific Lead

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Robert Schmitt is Director at the Machine Tool Laboratory WZL at RWTH Aachen University, member of the Board of Directors at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT and Chair of Production Metrology and Quality Management at RWTH Aachen University.
After studying electrical engineering, Professor Schmitt worked as a research assistant at the WZL. Since 1997, he worked for a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in a leading position in quality management and later took over responsibility in production at various production sites.
Participation Requirements and Target Group
- This Six Sigma Green Belt training is aimed at all specialists and managers who are responsible for and work on systematic improvement projects in a company, primarily in the areas of production, quality management, corporate development and process management, but also in the service sector.
- An already existing Six Sigma Yellow Belt qualification is advantageous for the certificate course, but not mandatory.
- Prerequisite for the course is a planned improvement project in your company, which you can carry out yourself. At the beginning of the course, you will briefly present the outline of your planned improvement project. We will send you a presentation template in time.
Course Completion
You will receive the officially recognized Executive Certificate "Six Sigma Green Belt" from RWTH Aachen University. The achievements within the certificate course are consistently marked with the Europe-wide valid instrument "European Credit Transfer Systems" (ECTS): It is possible for these to be credited to other certified courses or even towards subsequent university studies.

After the Course Completion
