With this hands-on Six Sigma Black Belt training, you will become an expert in process improvement and project management in your company. In addition to strategically leading complex improvement projects, you will be empowered to share relevant Six Sigma knowledge within your organization and to coach ongoing projects. You will also familiarize yourself with sophisticated tools of the Six Sigma methodology.

Contents of the Training

The course of the Black Belt training is based on the Six Sigma phases of the DMAIC cycle (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). The respective Black Belt tools and methods are systematically presented and supported by a continuous practical example.

Scientific Director of the Quality Management Courses Prof. Dr.-Ing. Robert Schmitt

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Robert Schmitt is Director at the Machine Tool Laboratory WZL at RWTH Aachen University, member of the Board of Directors at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT and Chair of Production Metrology and Quality Management at RWTH Aachen University.

After studying electrical engineering, Professor Schmitt worked as a research assistant at the WZL. Since 1997, he worked for a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in a leading position in quality management and later took over responsibility in production at various production sites.


Participation Requirements and Target Group

  • This Six Sigma Black Belt training is aimed at all specialists and managers who are responsible for and work on systematic improvement projects in a company. Predominantly, the participants come from the areas of production, quality management, corporate development and process management, but also from the service sector.
  • The prerequisite for participation in this course is proof of an acquired and accredited Six Sigma Green Belt qualification or several years of experience in the implementation of improvement projects using the Six Sigma methodology.
  • At the beginning of the course, you will briefly present the outline of your planned Black Belt improvement project. We will send you a presentation template in due time.

 

Course Completion

You will receive the officially recognized RWTH Executive Certificate "Six Sigma Black Belt" from RWTH Aachen University. The achievements within the certificate course are consistently marked with the Europe-wide valid instrument "European Credit Transfer Systems" (ECTS): It is possible for these to be credited to other certified courses or even towards subsequent university studies.
