The training "Technology management and digitalisation in production" teaches the necessary tools and methods of operational technology management and the basics for the digital transformation of production. Contents of the Training
This training teaches the relevant skills and methods for the appropriate use of technology in production planning based on practical application examples. Another focus is the identification of digitalisation potential, as well as the evaluation and transfer into beneficial solutions. The potential of digital transformation will be illustrated using the example of machine learning. The entire seminar will be accompanied by many best practice examples from industry and a research-based outlook on digital production solutions.

Under the direction of Professor Thomas Bergs, the Manufacturing Technology Institute MTI at RWTH Aachen University teaches and conducts research on key topics in manufacturing technology, including modelling and simulation as well as the monitoring and control of machining, forming and ablative manufacturing processes. Another central focus of our research work is the integration of the digital twin and artificial intelligence (digital transformation) as well as the overarching development of methods (technology management) for the design, optimisation and evaluation of individual processes and process chains.
