Recap: RWTH BIM Talent Program in May - Exciting Insights & Experiences
In May, the RWTH BIM Talent Program provided many new impressions and valuable experiences for its participants. In addition to working on exciting projects at the partner companies, Hilti Deutschland AG and Viega GmbH & Co. KG, the participants took part in various activities designed to integrate them into the program and deepen their knowledge of the world of digital construction.
Teamwork, fun & riddles at the first social event
For the program's first social event, the participants from the different cohorts came together at the Escape Room in Aachen to test their team spirit and problem-solving skills. They eagerly and enthusiastically solved the tricky tasks and then ended the evening with an enjoyable dinner together.
Innovative Building at first hand: Visit to Viega World
On May 12, the new cohort went to Viega World in Attendorn. There, they immersed themselves in BIM technology.
Viega World is the first major project realized with BIM, establishing it as one of the construction industry's most sustainable and innovative seminar centers.
In addition to visiting the large exhibition area with interactive features and a look behind the scenes, we experienced the use of BIM in construction planning at Viega World and Viega's vision for the future of construction in 360 degrees in the Viega Sphere.
The visit to the nearby location in Ennest with Viega's impressive logistics center with almost 100,000 storage spaces and the ultra-modern competence center for gunmetal was the highlight of our visit to Viega.

Now it is time to gain new expertise in the field of Building Information Modeling. Our talents are currently attending their first specialized course on the use of “Autodesk Revit Software” in BIM technology.
