First attendance phase for our M.Sc. Periodontology 2024!
Let's go Paroma 2024! Welcome to your first face-to-face period here in Aachen! The latest class of M.Sc. Periodontology has been learning together digitally since the end of September – now our students came to Aachen for the first time.
Basics of periodontological treatment
The first on-campus phase teaches the basics of periodontological treatment:
The module "Oral Microbiology" not only deals with the biological basis and causes of periodontal diseases, but our students can also work live in the laboratory with different bacterial strains.
Practical experience directly at the treatment chair
In addition, the module "Periodontal Diseases" offers the opportunity to work directly on the chair to practice initial treatment techniques. Our students are also supported by our industry partner Dürr Dental and their various technical devices. This allows the students to try out different treatment methods and techniques directly – even if they do not (yet) have them available in their own dental office.
But what would the first visit be without getting to know each other? Even if the students already know each other digitally, meeting in person is something different. That's why a joint dinner for a private exchange is also part of our program during the first attendance phase.
