All open Summer Schools are co-funded by the RWTH International Academy in cooperation with RWTH Aachen University. The goal herby is to make knowledge accessible to further diverse target groups and to win talents in the international environment. Therefore we can only accept a limited number of participants from one university/co-operation partners to each program. The admission process is subject to the academic selection by RWTH Institutes and RWTH International Academy.

In case of force majeure in correlation with Coronavirus, participants will get a reimbursement of the program fee. Only a processing and remittance fee will be retained. The participant has to provide official documentary evidence of the force majeure from a governmental administration.
Force majeure occurs in this case when an official travel ban is imposed. This applies if entering the country of the organizer or departing the current place of residence of the participant is prohibited.
The course fees contain an 'all-inclusive' package:
✓ Lectures and laboratory courses
✓ Course material
✓ A student handbook with all information about the program and student life in Aachen
✓ Excursions and social events
✓ Accommodation (usually 3- or 4-bed rooms)
✓ Breakfast and lunch on weekdays
✓ Snacks or meals during selected social events
✓ A local public transportation ticket for the respective time in Aachen
Please note: Not included are particular travel expenses to and from Aachen. Participants have to provide their own meals on weekends and in the evening and have a personal budget for their individual needs.
