The lectures and course materials are included in the program fees for each specific program. More details can be found on the specific Academic Content pages.
For the duration of your Summer or Winter School, you will be staying in one of Aachen's boarding houses or in a student accommodation on campus. Housing is included in the program fees.
All boarding houses and student accommodations are located close to the city center and allow for easy and convenient transportation within Aachen as well as to neighboring cities. The following information relates to the size and furnishing of standard rooms, but please note that rooms might differ from these standards. Unfortunately, a choice of rooms is not possible.
Since all participants of each individual program will be staying at the same accommodation, you will get to know your classmates better by living in an environment that is similar to the dorms offered by the University.

Keep in mind that you will have to respect the house rules and be observant of other guests.

Breakfast and lunch as well as snacks during selected events are included in the program fees. For more details, please read the information below.
From Monday to Friday, breakfast is included in the program fees.
We will provide lunch from Monday to Friday at the RWTH student restaurant. A student restaurant card will be provided on your first day.
Dinner and meals on weekends
Participants have to provide their own meals on weekends and in the evening on weekdays.
A personal budget for individual needs is advised.
Public Transportation Ticket
All Summer and Winter School students receive a public transportation ticket on their arrival day. This allows you to easily travel to and from your lectures. With this ticket you can travel the city of Aachen by bus and even visit the neighboring city Vaals (The Netherlands).

All Summer School Programs will have their own Summer Mentors, who will help you to get to know Aachen from a true student’s perspective. With the support of the Mentors, who are typically students enrolled at RWTH Aachen University, you will learn more about academic and cultural practices in Germany.

A few week prior to your arrival, you will be introduced to your Summer School's Mentors (approx. 2-5 Mentors per program). They will be happy to answer all your questions even before welcoming you to Aachen.
