The course fees will be invoiced in four equal installments due on August 01 for the following Winter Semester and on February 01 for the following Summer Semester. The course fees are not subject to German VAT (§ 4 Nr. 21 a) bb) UStG). Payment should be made by bank transfer to the account nominated by RWTH International Academy. The participant is liable for all bank fees incurred.
Tuition and semester fees
Tuition fees: 5,750 EUR per semester (23,000 EUR in total; 4 semester regular study period). The fees do not include accommodation and travel costs, but do include the whole documentation and catering during the presence days.
Semester fee of RWTH Aachen University: approx. 300 EUR per semester (includes the semester ticket for public transport within the whole state of North Rhine-Westphalia, part of Belgium and part of the Netherlands).

Scholarship Opportunities for Applicants
There are several scholarship opportunities available for M. Sc. Laboratory Animal Science at RWTH Aachen University. You should start looking for an appropriate scholarship as soon as possible. Please find some institutions offering scholarships for veterinarians listed below.
ICLAS Visiting Grant for Professional Development in LAS in Europe This Grant is available to individuals from European countries/areas in the process of developing modern standards of animal care and use. The objective of the grants is to acquire new knowledge and/or technical competences in the care and use of laboratory animals. This can be achieved in one of the host institutions proposed by ICLAS or in an institution proposed by the applicant.
ICLAS Grant for Training the Trainer in LAS Education in Europe ICLAS supports, in collaboration with FELASA, proposals for helping those who aim to be instrumental in the establishment of courses for any of the EU functions according to the Directive 2010/63/EU (or equivalent requirements in countries out of the European Union). Preference is given to applicants from European countries with higher need to develop a well-established education and training system. The activity is designed with the mid or long-term goal of producing a training course that eventually fulfils FELASA accreditation requirements.
ICLAS The ICLAS (International Council for Laboratory Animal Science) program offers scholarships to enable veterinarians who live in areas without access to training and who lack the necessary funds to complete training programs.
LAL Individual scientists, who wish to attend courses in laboratory animal science and welfare, can apply for bursaries from LAL (Laboratory Animals Limited).
Deadlines for applications are 31st of March and 30th of September annually.
LAMA The LAMA (Laboratory Animal Management Association) Foundation Scholarship fund is used to provide qualified applicants with financial assistance. These funds may be used for tuition to attend accredited universities, colleges or vocational trade Schools.
