Systematic Product Innovation

In this Summer School, students receive an introduction to established and cutting-edge methods and processes of product innovation and development design methodology and product lifecycle management.
Theory taught in the lecture will be applied in hands-on workshops featuring the analysis and improvement of a real life product. Students will learn how to carry out market research, identify and evaluate requirements, set up functions and their structures and to derive and vary concepts for product innovations. These concepts will be transferred into a suitable embodiment design using conventional and agile methods including rapid prototyping technologies.

The RWTH International Academy works closely together with the International Office, the Language Center and the Institute for Engineering Design (ikt) of the RWTH Aachen University to offer a perfect mix of technical study and cultural experience.
