Quality Management at the RWTH Aachen University
The trainers at the Chair of Production Metrology and Quality Management of the WZL Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering at RWTH Aachen University are qualified Six Sigma Black Belts. Within the framework of the Six Sigma Green Belts, they teach you the philosophy as well as the tools required for implementation. The acquired knowledge is deepened through practice-oriented individual and group exercises.
Six Sigma at the RWTH Aachen University
Six Sigma provides technical and executive staff with a framework for systematic planning and effective implementation of sustainable improvement projects based on the DMAIC cycle. The methods anchored therein make it possible to identify core causes of difficult and complex problems in processes and to develop sustainable solutions for these problems on the basis of sound statistical analyses. This also supports error prevention in product development and manufacturing processes. The interaction of consistent customer orientation and measurable success is the success factor for planning and implementing sustainable optimizations in companies.
The introductory seminar Six Sigma Yellow Belt serves as the first step of the Six Sigma training to become an expert for process optimization and waste reduction on the basis of statistical and analytical methods. It helps organizations pursue a disciplined and data-driven approach and a method for error reduction.
The Six Sigma Green Belt certificate course, which is also offered in e-learning format as a hybrid, focuses on basic competencies for process improvement along the DMAIC cycle. This systematic approach forms a continuous control loop with which the relevant improvement measures can be identified and quantified. The embedded methods enable companies to identify core causes of process problems and to develop solutions for these problems on the basis of systematic analyses.
To establish and standardize process improvements, the Six Sigma Black Belt advanced course enriches the Green Belt courses along the DMAIC phase model with techniques for leading project teams, sound statistical knowledge and specific analysis tools. Using approaches for establishing Six Sigma in the organization, the foundations are laid for Black Belts to actively participate in the coordination and further development of Six Sigma activities in the company.
